Azerbaijan exported the products worth a total of $9.9 billion from January through August 2020, which is 26.8 percent less than during the same period of 2019, Trend reports on Sept. 15 with reference to the report of the country’s State Customs Committee.
The public sector's share in export volume made up 49.2 percent or $4.8 billion during the reporting period, the committee said.
The share of the private sector (legal entities) was $4.9 billion, or 50.5 percent of the total export volume, while individuals accounted for $35.4 million.
In total, Azerbaijan exported 2,475 types of goods and imported 7,136 types of goods, conducting foreign trade operations with 175 partner countries.
Most of all, in the first eight months of 2020, Azerbaijan exported oil and oil products, electricity, chemicals, as well as fruits and vegetables.
