By Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:

The talks between the Georgian government and the Swiss company Stadler are at the final stage, said Mikhail Khidureli, director of the Produce in Georgia agency, Trend reports via Georgian media.

According to him, the timely opening of the economy allowed the country to be one of the first to resume work with investors.

As Khidureli noted, Georgia is actively involved in the so-called business relocation processes.

“More than 120 messages were sent on behalf of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Economy. The general director of Stadler even came to Georgia. We can say that we were among the first to take part in the process of business relocation," said Mikhail Khidureli.

Meanwhile, in August 2020 the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Natia Turnava, and the head of the Produce in Georgia agency met with the President of Stadler. After the meeting, Turnava announced the opening of a local Stadler plant in Georgia.

Swiss company Stadler, founded in 1942, is the world's leading train manufacturer.
