Iran's industrial sector surges

The value of the industrial sector in Iran's gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 1.3 percent during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 20 - June 20, 2020) compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports referring to Central Bank of Iran.

According to the report, the value of the industrial sector in the gross domestic product was 181 trillion rials (about $4.32 billion) in three months in accordance with the stable prices in 2011.

“While in the same period last Iranian year, this figure was 179 trillion rials (about $4.27 billion),” the report said.

According to the report, the value of the industrial sector in GDP of Iran was 771 trillion rials (about $18.3 billion) in last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019, to March 20, 2020).

Iran's gross domestic product (GDP) decreased by 2.8 percent and was 1.45 quadrillion rials (about $34.7 billion) during the first three months of the current Iranian year.
