Turkmen Ministry of Construction to purchase equipment from Italian company

The Ministry of Industry and Construction of Turkmenistan will sign a contract with the Italian company Gamma Meccanica S. p. A. for the purchase of equipment, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a corresponding decree authorizing the ministry to conclude the above-mentioned contract.
The equipment will be procured for construction of enterprises for the production of sound and heat-insulating materials thin basalt fiber in the Balkan region and overhaul plant for the production of wall materials the Balkan career management of the Ministry and installation of the equipment.
According to the decree, construction work will begin in October 2020, and the enterprise should be put into operation in October 2021.
Turkmenistan and Italy effectively interact in many economic spheres. Italian companies such as ENI, Valvitalia, Pietro Fiorentini S.p.a., ProBusiness S.r.l, ETD European Technology Development S.r.l, Geieeurasiamed, Comair S.p.A., Chimec S.p.A., Maschio Gaspardo, Marzoli, Helicopters Italia Srl Unipersonale currently operate in Turkmenistan.
Sixteen enterprises with Italian capital and 22 projects worth about $13 million of investments from Italy have been registered in Turkmenistan.
Turkmenistan and Italy established diplomatic relations on June 9, 1992.
