Entrepreneurs operating in Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic are maintaining economic ties with numerous business structures in Europe and Asia, Chairman of the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Vugar Abbasov said, Trend reports.
Abbasov made the remark at an event entitled "The impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the private sector and related proposals".
Speaking about new facilities, Abbasov noted that thanks to state support and private investment, business entities have created production and service facilities in 2020 based on 63 projects in various fields of economic activity.
The result of the work done in this area is that currently, the production enterprises operating in Nakhchivan not only meet the population’s consumer demand but also expand their export potential, the chairman said.
Abbasov stressed that one of the main issues of interest to businessmen in the current environment is the study and assessment of market opportunities.
During the pandemic, the confederation, which protects the rights of entrepreneurs, and works closely with government agencies and international organizations, maximizes the use of the conditions created, the chairman said.
Then, the views of entrepreneurs and mutual discussions were held on the difficulties faced during the pandemic, .
Head of the department of the Ministry of Economy of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Khudakarim Mammadov, who delivered a report, informed the entrepreneurs about the support provided by the ministry to the entrepreneur, and Head of the department of the State Customs Committee Turgut Abbasov - about the assistance provided to entrepreneurs in the payment of customs duties.
Among the entrepreneurs of the confederation, there are businessmen engaged in industrial and food production, furniture and building materials, as well as other broad-based activities.
Confederation of Entrepreneurs of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was established on March 5, 1999, in Baku and passed official state registration. It unites in its ranks over 1,000 business entities, including 35 associations and unions of socio-economic profile.
