Iran hotel construction surges by 70 percent over 7 years
TEHRAN, Iran, Sep. 24
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that in the last seven years, significant steps have been taken to register historic monuments, as well as returning historical objects to the country which was our great legal success.
President Rouhani announced the government`s effort to prepare the ground for domestic and foreign tourism, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"During the last seven years, the construction of the hotels has increased by 70 percent and tourist attraction has grown from 4 million to 8 million,” the president said.
Referring to the reduction of tourist attraction due to the spread of Covid-19 he says that we could have had more tourists this year.
"Covid-19 affects people`s life and does not allow them to travel,” he said. "It is temporary and in the coming years, we will see the development of tourism in the country."
