Several industrial projects to be implemented in Kazakhstan's Almaty

A total of 10 projects worth over 85 billion tenge ($200.9 million) will be implemented at Kazakhstan’s Almaty Industrial Zone, Trend reports with reference to the press office of Kazakh president.

Kazakhstan’s President Kassym Jomart Tokayev got acquainted with activities of the Almaty Industrial Zone during his official visit to Almaty city.

Within the framework of the visit Tokayev got acquainted with the activities of the plant of energy-efficient architectural facades, located in the Industrial Zone.

The president was presented with the products of the enterprise and technological process of building materials production, which involves over 250 workers. The company's own investments in the project amounted to 3.8 billion tenge ($8.9 million), the plant's capacity reaches 475,000 square meters of double-glazed windows per year.

Tokayev was also informed on the state and development prospects of the Industrial Zone. Thus, 10 projects worth over 85 billion tenge ($200.9 million) will be implemented before the end of 2020.

Earlier this year, Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Trade and Infrastructural Development said that a total of six smaller industrial parks will be commissioned in the Almaty Industrial Zone in Kazakhstan in 2020.

The overall industrial area of the parks will be 28,000 square meters, where about 70 industrial ventures will be set up. A total of over 700 new jobs will be created as a result of the parks' creation.
