September occupancies up in Georgian regional hotels

The occupancy for large hotels in September indicates growth for Georgian Kakheti (+4p.p.), Tbilisi (+1p.p.), and other regions (+1p.p.) while no change has been observed for seaside hotels, Trend reports with reference to TBC Research Group at Georgian TBC Bank.

Weekend occupancy: compared to the previous weekend, occupancy decreased for seaside hotels but increased for Kakheti and other regions standing at 40 percent, 71 percent, and 40 percent, respectively.

By current bookings, the largest the room prices (ADR) discounts in September are observed in seaside hotels, followed by Kakheti and Tbilisi. Other regions offer relatively smaller discounts.

According to the report, the year-on-year change in mortgages up by 29 percent in the September 1-20 period. Of mortgages issued since July 6, 38.3 percent are beneficiaries of the state subsidy program, -0.1 p.p. since last week.

The 7 days moving average year-on-year growth rate of the transaction registrations in Tbilisi on the positive growth territory at +18 percent as of September 19.
