Kazakhstan's grain export volume revealed

A total of 5.6 million tons of grain were transported in Kazakhstan since the beginning of 2020 to date, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development.

The ministry said that 4 million tons of this volume was exported. The main export routes for Kazakhstan’s grain are Uzbekistan, Russia, Tajikistan, China, as well as Afghanistan, Ukraine, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan.

Kazakhstan’s grain producers independently determine export markets for themselves based on prices in accordance with market conditions, existing export ties, and offers.

In total, there are more than 9,100-grain carriers in Kazakhstan, of which 8,600 currently offer services.

The country’s main grain car operator is Astyk Trans JSC, whereas the national cargo transport operator is KTZ Freight Transportation.

In the nearest future, Astyk Trans JSC is planning to use 1,300-grain cars which are currently used by Rusagrotrans company to implement grain transportation.

To promptly resolve the issues of transporting grain of the new harvest, the headquarters for providing an operational solution to the transportation of grain will start working at Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (Kazakhstan Railways) starting October 1, 2020. The round-the-clock work of operational groups for loading grain is organized. The work of such groups and headquarters is carried out in a regular mode.
