Iran unveils details of exports from Isfahan Province

A total of 2.82 million tons of goods worth $860 million were exported from Iran's Isfahan Province during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 20-September 21, 2020), Director General for Isfahan Province Customs Office, Rasoul Kuhestani said, Trend reports citing Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
The director general said the goods were mainly exported to Iraq (worth $239 million), China (worth $123 million), Afghanistan (worth $118 million), the UAE (worth $90 million) and Thailand (worth $48 million).
As for the exported goods from Isfahan Province, mainly cast iron, iron, steel products worth $344 million were exported and these goods accounted for 40 percent of total exports, Kuhestani added.
“In addition, petrochemical products worth $150 million were exported, which was accounted for 17 percent of total exports,” he noted.
Kuhestani stressed at the same time, carpets worth $31.9 million were exported from Isfahan Province. This was accounted for 4 percent of total exports.
According to the director general, the value of dairy products exported from the province amounted to $28 million and the products accounted for 3 percent of total exports.
“Also, the value of exports of organic chemicals from Isfahan Province amounted to $19.7 million and these products accounted for 2 percent of total exports,” he said.
