Iran manufactured about 469,000 units of vehicles in various types during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 20-September 21, 2020), Trend reports citing the Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Trade of Iran.
According to the report, this is an increase of 23.4 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
“During the reporting period, about 426,000 passenger cars were manufactured, which is an increase of 21.9 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year,” the report said.
In addition, Iran manufactured 39,500 pickups in the first six months of the current Iranian year. This is an increase of 40.4 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year, the report added.
According to the report, 412 minibusses were manufactured over the same period in Iran, and this is an increase of 23.7 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
“At the same time, 383 buses were manufactured in Iran in 6 months, which is an increase of 124 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year,” the report noted.
As many as 2.340 trucks and trailers were manufactured in Iran within six months. This is an increase of 54.7 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
According to the report, moreover, 86,300 units of vehicles in various types were manufactured in Iran in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (July 22-September 21, 2020). This is an increase of 36.4 percent compared to the same month last year. While in the same period last Iranian year, 77,600 vehicles were manufactured in Iran.
