By Fidan Babayeva - Trend:

The National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers’) Organizations (NBCO) of Azerbaijan plans to implement specific projects in tourism, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, services, and consulting with Turkey, regions of Russia, Uzbekistan, India, Montenegro, Bulgaria, the Persian Gulf countries and others, NBCO’s Chairman Ilhama Abdullayeva told Trend.

To date, projects have been successfully implemented in various sectors of the economy together with Turkey, many regions of Russia, the countries of the EU, and Asia, said Abdullayeva.

“The Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI) was established in 2019. In the second half of 2020, a representative of the confederation will be appointed by the chairman of the chamber, in regard to which we’re going to organize numerous business missions and international forums with the involvement of observer countries such as Hungary and Turkmenistan,'' NBCO’s chairman said.

Within cooperation between NBCO and the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture (ICCIA), it is planned to create a digital trade platform for TCCI members, she added.

“To eliminate bureaucratic and communication barriers between representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the member states of this organization, an electronic Turkic business portal was created last year. This platform provides quick communication between SMEs’ representatives without mediators, and is very effective for collecting information on the trade potential of participants and transactions between various business entities within a single web portal,” Abdullayeva said.

Abdullayeva noted that simplifying communication between entrepreneurs and centralized receipt of the necessary information will significantly increase the speed and volume of trade turnover between the countries of the Turkic Council.

Touching upon the topic of cooperation with Indian entrepreneurs, Abdullayeva said that the current main topic of discussion for Azerbaijani and Indian entrepreneurs on bilateral cooperation is the creation of a digital platform.

“The creation of a digital platform will play an important role in the activities of entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan and India. During the coronavirus pandemic, business contacts with Indian partners are carried out online,” the chairman added.

National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers’) Organizations (NBCO) was established on March 5, 1999, in Baku and passed official state registration. It unites in its ranks over 1,000 business entities, including 35 associations and unions of socio-economic profile.
