Prices on goods of industrial production surge in Kazakhstan

Prices on goods of industrial manufacturers in Kazakhstan increased by 2.4 percent in Sept. 2020 compared to Aug. 2020 and decreased by 4.7 percent compared to Dec. 2019, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The prices in the mining industry in September 2020 increased by 3 percent compared to August and decreased by 14.2 percent compared to Dec. 2019.

The increase in prices on metal ores was by 9.3 percent, oil by 2.5 percent, coal by 1.2 percent.

In manufacturing, steel prices were higher for zinc by 15.7 percent, aluminum by 13.2 percent, lead by 10.3 percent, precious metals by 8.3 percent, copper by 3.8 percent.

Prices for fuel oil rose by 20.3 percent, liquefied propane, and butane by 6.3 percent.

Among food products, manufacturers' prices increased for sugar by 4.1 percent, fish by 2 percent, cereals by 1.9 percent, pasta by 1.1 percent, vegetable oil by 0.7 percent, wheat flour by 0.6 percent, livestock meat by 0.5 percent, dairy products by 0.3 percent, bread by 0.2 percent.

In turn, tea prices decreased by 0.5 percent.
