Trend:

Kish gas field development is ongoing while it is expected to transfer gas to Kish gas plant by the end of the current Iranian year(started March 20, 2021), said the gas field project manager in Pars Oil and Gas Company.

"The development of Kish gas field has two priorities, first is the gas transfer from pipeline seven to Kish gas plant and the second part is drilling wells and completing wells operations," said Abdollah Mehrabi, Trend reports citing ILNA

He noted that the gas transfer to Kish plant includes operating offshore and onshore pipelines and the transfer will be completed by the end of the current Iranian year ( March 21, 2021).

"The installation of the pipeline started in 2015 and had acceptable progress and the remaining activities would reach the hydro test stage next month. The installment of the 18-kilometer offshore pipeline from Kish Island to Karzeh is ongoing while the 2.2-kilometer offshore pipeline to Kish Island completed last month," he added.

According to Mehrabi, the plan to transfer gas from the Kish gas field is fully done by Iranian experts and the primary studies in the development of the gas field are ongoing and the final plan would be run by domestic contractors.

"The proper grade of the pipeline has been imported for gas transfer to Kish plant but the valves are supplied domestically,"

He also stated that the implementation of the plan and gas transfer to the Kish gas plant would reduce diesel consumption and prevent pollution and completely connect Kish Island to a gas pipeline.
