Azerbaijan's import of Israeli products down

The volume of foreign trade operations between Azerbaijan and Israel made up $396.5 million in the past eight months of 2020, which is 2.5 times less compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports citing the statistical bulletin of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.

According to SCC, the share of Israel in the total volume of Azerbaijan’s import amounted to $14.3 million or 0.21 percent of the total import volume, while a year earlier this figure was 0.38 percent.

The export of Azerbaijan to Israel over the first eight months of 2020 amounted to $382.2 million, while a year earlier – $953.9 million. Thus, Israel’s share in the total export of Azerbaijan dropped from 7.06 percent to 3.87 percent.

At the same time, the balance of foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan with Israel for the reporting period remained positive, amounting to $367.9 million.

From January through August 2020, the foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan made up $16.5 billion, which is 27.6 percent less compared to the same period of last year. The balance of foreign trade turnover decreased by 22.9 percent, but remained positive, making up $3.18 billion.
