Iran announces details of exports from Semnan Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 6

About 117,000 tons of goods worth $120 million were exported from the Semnan Province (northern Iran) during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 20-September 21, 2020), said Ali Sadaddin, Director General of the Semnan Province Customs Office, Trend reports citing Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration.

The director general emphasized that the goods were exported to 37 countries, including Iraq, Turkey, Italy, India and Ukraine.

“The exported goods were mainly light hydrocarbons, washing powder, sweets, chocolate, silicon, etc,” he added.

According to Sadaddin, 69 types of goods were exported by 71 manufacturing companies of Semnan Province.

“In addition, 5,510 tons of goods worth $24.3 million were imported into the province over 6 months,” the director general noted.

Sadaddin said that the imported goods to the Semnan Province were mainly raw materials, equipment, spare parts and etc.

He stressed 78 types of goods were imported by 32 companies of Semnan Province.

The director general noted that these goods were mainly imported from Turkey, China, Uzbekistan, Germany, Italy, Austria, Belgium and Malaysia.
