Turkmenistan invites Indian companies to consider possibility of creating joint high-tech production facilities

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 16

By Jeila Aliyeva - Trend:

Turkmenistan invited Indian companies to consider the possibility of creating joint high-tech industries in such areas as agriculture, chemical, pharmaceutical, light industry, production of construction materials based on local raw materials, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.

This was stated during a telephone conversation between President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of India Ram Nath Kovind.

During the conversation, Turkmenistan expressed its readiness to provide Indian companies with the necessary support in implementing investment projects.

Meanwhile, the fact that the countries already have experience of such a partnership was noted. Speaking about this, the head of Turkmenistan named Turkmenderman Ajanta Farma Limited Turkmen-Indian joint venture as a concrete example.

Also, the Turkmen side was invited to consider the possibilities of expanding cooperation in the fields of medicine and pharmaceuticals.

The importance of establishing interaction and exchange of experience at the inter-parliamentary level was noted.

The sides also noted that a special role in the development of Turkmen-Indian relations and building up bilateral ties is assigned to visits and high-level negotiations.

Thus, the countries actively cooperate not only in a bilateral format but also through international structures.

The energy sector was identified as a priority vector of cooperation, where the implementation of a large-scale project for the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline is an example.

Thanks to joint efforts, a lot of work has been done in this direction, important documents have been signed, and systematic steps are being taken to solve the tasks set.
