Turkmenistan significantly increases import of wheat flour from EAEU countries

The export of wheat flour from the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) to Turkmenistan increased by 40.8 percent from January through August of this year, compared to the same period last year, Trend reports, citing statistics from the Eurasian Economic Commission.

In general, 28,013 tons of wheat flour were exported to Turkmenistan from Kazakhstan and Russia for a total of more than $9.4 million, which is 69.7 percent more than the number of wheat flour exports for the same period last year.

At the same time, Kazakhstan's share in the above-mentioned amount of wheat flour exports is $7.6 million, while Russia's share is $ 1.7 million.

According to statistics, the export of grain flour to Turkmenistan from Russia amounted to more than 125 tons, totaling $47,105.

Exports of processed cereals from Kazakhstan and Russia to Turkmenistan amounted to 5,655 tons, totaling $1.5 million.

The share of Kazakhstan in the number of grain exports amounted to over $1 million, Russia- $488,910.

As reported, from January through July of this year, the export of wheat flour from the EAEU countries to Turkmenistan increased by 90.6 percent compared to the same period last year.
