Industrial production increased in Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic

Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic manufactured industrial products worth 836.9 million manat ($492.3 million) from January through September of this year, which is 1 percent higher than in the same period last year, Trend reports with reference to the report of the state statistics Committee of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

According to the data, 96.6 percent of industrial production was accounted for goods, 3.4 percent - for services.

"The share of the private sector in industrial output was 94.2 percent, which is the highest indicator compared to other economic regions of the country. From January through September, with the support of the state, production and service facilities were created for 100 projects in various areas of economic activity, currently the creation of production and service facilities for 59 projects is continuing, " the Committee said.

According to the data, in order to develop industry, banks and credit organizations issued loans to economic entities from January through September in the amount of 17.9 million manat ($10.5 million), which is 2.5 times more than a year earlier.

"As a result of the increase in industrial production from January through September, the export of industrial products amounted to $222.9 million," the information says.
