Iran increases value of exports via Kerman Province

The value of exported goods through the customs of the Kerman Province (southeastern Iran) increased by 27 percent during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 20-October 21, 2020) compared to the same period last Iranian year, Director General of Kerman Province Customs Office Mohammad Reza Ghader said, Trend reports referring to the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration.

According to the director general, 212,000 tons of goods worth $439 million were exported via the customs of Kerman Province during the reporting period.

Ghader added that the exported products in seven months were mainly pistachios worth about $396 million, sugar worth $9.22 million, dates worth $8.17 million, copper products worth $4.91 million and ceramics worth $4.58 million.

"The goods worth $73 million were exported to China, worth $11 million to India, worth $8 million to Iraq and worth $6 million to Germany through customs of Kerman Province over 7 months," he said.

The director stressed that at the same time, $5 million worth of goods were exported to the UAE, worth $4 million to Pakistan, worth $4 million to Turkey, and worth $4 million to Italy via the province’s customs during this period.

Ghader noted furthermore, 600,000 tons of goods worth $937 million belonging to Kerman Province were exported from other Iranian customs over the past seven months. This is an increase of 67 percent in terms of value compared to the same period last Iranian year.
