Kazakhstan introducing 'Industry 4.0' elements in manufacturing sector

Kazakhstan is actively working on the introduction of elements of Industry 4.0 in the manufacturing industry and the Mining and Metallurgical Complex (MMC), the Zerde Holding JSC, responsible for the implementation of the Digital Kazakhstan state program, told Trend.

According to Zerde Holding, the technological development of enterprises in Kazakhstan is currently at the level of semi-automated processes.

“Active work is underway to digitize production data for the transition to the level of "transparent" production with the subsequent transition to the level of "smart production" of the Industry 4.0 (cyber-physical processes with human-robot interaction). Moreover, active work is presently underway to introduce elements of Industry 4.0 in the manufacturing industry and the MMC,” the company said.

As reported, solutions in the field of digital technologies are the most attractive innovative product for the country's mining and metallurgical enterprises.

Thus, geographic information systems provides a more precise management of the resource base, digital dispatching optimizes logistics flows, and automation improves productivity and safety, the company noted.

"Also, taking into account international experience, appropriate systemic measures have been developed. These measures provides development of proprietary technologies for the elements of Industry 4.0, improvement of regulatory regulation, development of digital infrastructure, as well as financial and other incentive measures," the company added.
