China is interested in investing in various sectors of Iran, including the mining sector, said the head of mining industries in Iran's Chamber of Commerce Bahram Shakouri, Trend reports via ILNA.
"It has been expected that projects in mine industries that are attractive for foreign investments, will be introduced to the Chinese side," said Shakouri.
"It seems that the Democratic Party and (US President elect) Joe Biden are interested to return to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action that could reduce the sanctions and create possibility to attract more foreign investors to Iran," he said.
"Many European and Asian companies are interested to invest in Iran's mine and mineral industries sector since they are diverse," said Shakouri.
"Foreign investment in the country would lead to reliance on domestic resources, progress and development and production," he added.
"Our report on mine sector indicates that the country's mine and mineral industries could be a full-time substitute for oil revenues," he said.
