Kazakhstan, Ukraine agree to cooperate in creating innovative technologies

A memorandum on the results of the working meeting was signed by the Deputy Minister of Industry and Infrastructural Development of Kazakhstan Berik Kamaliev and Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladyslav Krykliy, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure of Kazakhstan.

The sides discussed the prospects for developing cooperation in the field of transport infrastructure, as well as the conditions for implementing a single transit permit between the participants of the TRACECA international transport program to increase the competitiveness of the corridor.

Currently, permits are printed on paper, but Kazakhstan is actively working with partners to translate them into electronic format. Hungary, Germany, Greece, Iran, Latvia, Moldova, Slovakia, Switzerland, and Turkey have already supported the proposal. Ukraine also spoke in favor of information technology.

The participants of the Kazakh-Ukrainian meeting discussed in detail promising cooperation projects in the field of civil aviation, railway transport, and international road freight transport between the countries, as well as the possibility of attracting additional cargo traffic in the direction of China – Kazakhstan – Azerbaijan – Georgia – Ukraine – European countries using the seaports of the Black and Caspian seas.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed satisfaction with the results of the negotiations and signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation in the field of creating innovative technologies and information systems, on the procedure for exchanging permits for international road freight transport.
