Turkmenistan doubles export of petroleum products to EAEU

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 16

Turkmenistan exported 5,421 tons of petroleum products to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union from January through August 2020, which is 2.2 times more than in the same period last year, Trend reports, citing statistics from the Eurasian Economic Commission.

The above-mentioned volume of oil products was exported to Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia for a total of $2.6 million, which is 84.6 percent more than the amount of exported oil products from Turkmenistan to the EAEU countries in the same period last year.

According to statistics, the share of Belarus in the amount of exported oil products from Turkmenistan is $44,868, Kazakhstan - $2.1 million, and Russia – $485,630.

In addition, during the above-mentioned period, Turkmenistan exported to Russia petroleum coke and bitumen in the amount of 2,110 tons for a total amount of $872,805.

Also, 50 tons of fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine were imported to Russia from Turkmenistan for a total amount of more than $1 million.

As reported, from January through July 2020, Turkmenistan exported 3,881 tons of petroleum products to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, which is 84.2 percent more than in the same period last year.
