Precious metals production volume surges in Kazakhstan

Manufacturing of non-processed and semi-processed silver in Kazakhstan has amounted to 842,918 kg over the ten months of 2020, which is 0.5 percent more than during the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

According to the data, non-processed and semi-processed silver production amounted to 86,583 kg in Oct. 2020, which is 2.2 percent less than in Oct. 2019.

Manufacturing of non-processed and semi-processed gold increased by 6.1 percent during the reporting months having amounted to 92,658 kg (9,926 kg in Oct. 2020, increase by 0.4 percent compared to Oct. 2019).

Production of non-processed aluminum and aluminum oxide amounted to 1.3 million tons during the reporting period, which indicates an increase of 0.1 percent compared to the same period of last year. The production volume of non-processed aluminum and aluminum oxide was 147,335 tons in Oct. 2020, which is 3.1 percent less than in Oct. 2019.

Manufacturing of non-processed refined lead amounted to 108,051 tons over the reporting period, which is 1.5 percent more than during the same period of 2019. The volume of non-processed refined lead produced in Oct. 2020 was 10,287 tons, which is 33.9 percent more than in Oct. 2019.

Production of non-processed zinc amounted to 263,826 tons, which is 1.5 percent more than during the same period of 2019 (10,287 tons in Oct. 2020, increase by 33.9 percent compared to Oct. 2019).

As reported, the manufacturing of non-processed non-alloyed refined copper amounted to 407,942 tons, which is 4.8 percent more than during the same period of 2019 (39,695 tons in Oct. 2020, decrease by 10.5 percent compared to Oct. 2019).

Manufacturing of other non-ferrous metals and products from them amounted to 33,077 tons, which is 25.8 percent more than during the same period of 2019 (2,417 tons in Oct. 2020, decrease by 19.7 percent compared to Oct. 2019).
