The private sector of Turkmenistan contributes to the production of raw cotton in the Dashoguz region of the country, Trend reports with reference to the newspaper "Turkmenistan: Zolotoy Vek" (Turkmenistan: Golden Age).
The agricultural enterprise Gülälekli depe of the Dashoguz region collected more than 1,500 tons of raw cotton from 700 hectares of land, which exceeded the plan.
In addition, the Mähirli bakyş agricultural enterprise manufactured over 1,000 tons of medium-fiber raw cotton varieties from 460 hectares in the above-mentioned region.
Also, Ykbal açary has grown over 400 tons of cotton on 235 hectares in the Dashoguz region.
Cotton growing is one of the leading sectors in the agricultural sector of the Dashoguz region.
More and more representatives of Turkmenistan's private sector are attracted to the agricultural sector of the country thanks to state support.
Such interest of private structures in cotton production is of great importance for the region.
Reportedly, agriculture in Turkmenistan is developing rapidly. It is one of the most important sectors of the country's economy. The main types of agricultural crops grown on the territory of Turkmenistan are wheat, cotton, rice, sugar beet, fodder, vegetable, and fruits.
The development of agriculture is carried out on a scientific basis. Various types of agricultural crops are grown taking into account the agro-ecological characteristics of the country's regions.
Special attention is paid to increasing the volume of products in Turkmenistan. As a result, in recent years, the country has increased the production of vegetables and fruit, and berries and enlarged the area of perennial plants, vineyards, and greenhouses.
