By Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:

Coronavirus adversely affected the activities of Georgian JB Group, Trend reports via Georgian media.

Georgian JB Group has been offering its customers ecologically clean Gozinaki made from natural honey for 11 years.

The founder and director of the company Ana Baramidze said, that if the situation does not stabilize and the business as many other small entrepreneurs will be in an analogous situation next season, there will be a huge risk for them to disappear from the market.

"We do not have any income from tourism this year. The plan for 2020 included creating a new production line. Also, it should be mentioned, that we offer products with a new design to our customers every year. This time, due to the current situation, we are not capable of creating something new," noted Baramidze.

The founder of the company says, that despite many calls from the state, there are just a few promotions of Georgian products by a large chain of markets.

She said that often, the consultant does not know where Georgian production is placed, does not have information about it. Also, the space allocated by the markets for Georgian products is not prioritized.

"It is necessary for small entrepreneurs producing Georgian products to have more support, promotion, and popularization. Hypermarkets, which also produce nearly identical products, refuse to offer them a stand in their stores. It would be good if 1 stand is made in hypermarkets for New Year, where the production of Georgian entrepreneurs will be presented," declared Baramidze.
