Iran discloses details of exports from Fars Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Dec. 5

The exports from the Fars Province (southern Iran) increased by 30 percent in terms of value and 60 percent in terms volume during the first eight months of the current year (from March 20 through November 20, 2020) compared to the same period last Iranian year, Director General of Fars Province Customs Office Khodadad Rahimi told IRNA, Trend reports.

The director general stressed that 267,000 tons of goods worth about $105 million were exported from Iran's Fars Province withing the reporting period.

He added that the exported goods from the Persian province were mainly urea, dairy products, aluminum, tomato paste, licorice, fish, figs and etc.

Rahimi noted that these goods were mainly exported to Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkey, Pakistan, Kuwait, Germany, UAE, Qatar, Vietnam and India.

“In addition, 23,300 tons of goods worth $97.5 million were imported through the customs of the Fars Province,” he said.

While in the same period last Iranian year, 12,000 tons of goods worth $87.4 million were imported, according to the director general.
