Buy/sell operations at Iran Mercantile Exchange revealed

A total of 508,000 tons of goods worth more than 62 trillion rials (about $1.47 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the last Iranian week (November 28 through December 3), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.

However, 505,000 tons of goods worth more than 47 trillion rials (about $1.12 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding Iranian week (November 21 through November 26).

According to the report, more than 210,000 tons of goods worth about 31.2 trillion rials (about $742 million) were sold in the industrial and mining products section of IME.

"So, 202,000 tons of steel, 1,200 tons of aluminum, 3,280 tons of copper, 120 tons of molybdenum sulfur, 120 tons of precious metal concentrate, 200 tons of cast iron and 3,480 tons of zinc were sold in this section," the report said.

In addition, 298,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth about 30.7 trillion rials (about $731 million) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME in the last Iranian week, the report said.

According to the report, 105,000 tons of vacuum bottom, 64,200 tons of bitumen, 59,700 tons of polymeric substances, 27,900 tons of chemicals, 37,500 tons of lube cut, 360 tons of glass facades, 1,950 tons base oil, 150 tons of argon, and 670 tons of sulfur were sold in this section.

Furthermore, 654 tons of various products were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
