Kazakhstan twofold decreases exports to Norway

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Norway amounted to $69.2 million over the first nine months of 2020, compared to $63.2 million during the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The share of Norway in the total value of Kazakhstan’s trade turnover stood at 0.11 percent during the reporting period, compared to 0.08 percent during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export to Norway amounted to $4 million over the period from January through Sept. 2020, compared to $8.1 million during the same period of 2019.

Norway’s share in the total volume of Kazakhstan’s exports amounted to 0.011 percent during the reporting period of 2020 compared to 0.019 percent during the same period of 2019.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from Norway amounted to nearly $65.2 million over the reporting period, compared to $55.02 million during the same period of 2019.

Norway’s share in the total volume of Kazakhstan’s imports amounted to 0.23 percent during the reporting period of 2020 compared to 0.18 percent during the same period of 2019.

The total volume of Kazakhstan’s trade turnover amounted to $62.8 billion over the period from January through Sept. 2020 which indicates a decrease from $72.09 billion during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export amounted to $35.3 billion during the reporting period of 2020 ($43.1 billion in the same period of 2019), whereas imports amounted to $27.4 billion ($28.9 billion in 2019).

During the reporting period, the main articles of Kazakhstan and Norway trade turnover were food products, agricultural products, as well as products of the chemical industry.
