Some 160,269 tons of tomatoes were exported from January through October 2020, which is three percent more than in the same period of last year, Trend reports on Dec. 10 with reference to the statistics report of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
Tomatoes worth $173 million were exported from January through October 2020, which is by four percent more than in the same period of last year, the State Customs Committee said.
Some 51,000 tons of apples were exported from January through October 2020, which is by almost 40 percent less than from January through October 2019. In total, export volume decreased by almost 20 percent, amounting to $21 million.
Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to more than $21 billion from January through October 2020, which is by 25.7 percent less than in the same period of 2019.
Some $12.2 billion accounted for the export in the structure of foreign trade turnover, which is 27.3 percent less on an annual basis.
The share of export for the year decreased by 1.24 percentage points up to 58.25 percent of the total volume of the foreign trade turnover.
The goods worth $8.8 billion were imported to Azerbaijan from January through October 2020, having decreased by 23.5 percent compared to the same period of last year.
The share of import in the total trade turnover increased by 1.24 percentage points up to 41.75 percent of the total volume.
