Export support center to be established in Turkmenistan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 10

By Jeila Aliyeva - Trend:

Turkmenistan will prepare proposals for the creation of a support center for exporters, as well as a center for assistance to small and medium-sized businesses, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.

The corresponding instruction was given by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during the working meeting.

In addition, the head of state stressed that domestic private producers should be provided with marketing, legal and consulting assistance in placing export-oriented products abroad and consolidating their positions on the world market.

The president also noted that private entrepreneurs should take an active part in the implementation of major industrial projects, including the creation of high-tech industries.

Earlier, in order to develop the private sector, the country defined a list of objects intended for privatization, including individual state-owned enterprises in various sectors, a large number of infrastructure facilities, and so on.

Also, the development of the stock market, the creation of market funds and the organization of transactions were identified as the main financial instruments in the country for the development of the private sector.

Thus, 66 percent of the country's production structure is accounted for by private businesses.
