Imports of products from Uzbekistan by Azerbaijan increased by 5.6 percent in the first ten months of 2020, compared to the same period of 2019, and amounted to $49.8 million, Trend reports citing the statistical bulletin of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.
The share of Uzbekistan in total imports of Azerbaijan made up 0.57 percent of the total, while a year earlier - 0.38 percent, said the report.
From January through October 2020, exports from Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan amounted to $11.5 million, while a year earlier this figure was $21.9 million.
As reported, the volume of foreign trade operations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan amounted to $52.1 million.
Thus, the balance of foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan with Uzbekistan for the reporting period remained negative, amounting to $38.3 million.
