The large manufacturing and industrial enterprises in the Ardabil Province (northwestern Iran) will be transformed into export-oriented enterprises, Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Ardabil Province Ramin Sadeghi said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.
The chairman stressed that many large industrial and manufacturing enterprises in Ardabil Province are equipped with modern equipment and have highly competitive opportunities in the area of manufacturing and export.
He added that there are currently 586 industrial and manufacturing enterprises in Iran's Ardabil Province. About 460 of these enterprises are operating at present and employ 9,000 people.
Sadeghi noted that the activities of 126 enterprises have been suspended due to a number of problems, including, the rising of raw material prices, working capital, and so on.
"The activities of 75 industrial and manufacturing enterprises in the province are to be restored by the end of the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2020, through March 21, 2021). So far, 43 enterprises have been restored," he said.
