Exports from Iran's Qom Province increases

The exports from Iran's Qom Province increased by about 50 percent in terms of volume and value during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 20 through December 20, 2020), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Director General of Qom Province Customs Office, Esfandiar Derikvandi said, Trend reports citing Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

The director-general noted that more than 600,000 tons of goods worth $99.4 million were exported over the reporting period.

“At the same time, about 12,300 tons of goods worth about $17 million were exported through the customs of Iran's Qom Province in the 9th month (November 21 through December 20),” he added.

Derikvandi emphasized that the exported goods were mainly pellets, footwear, lead ingots, copper products, rubber, chemicals, and hydrocarbon products. These products have been exported to Iraq, Afghanistan, the UAE, India, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan.

According to the director-general, furthermore, 37,200 tons of goods worth about $174 million were imported in the first nine months.

He noted that imported goods were spare parts for motorcycles, acrylic fibers, spare parts for washing machines, and so on. These goods were mainly imported from China, India, Italy, UAE, Turkey, and Japan.
