Iran declares data of exports from Mazandaran Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Dec. 29

As many as 516,000 tons of goods worth $136 million were exported through the customs of Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 20 through December 20, 2020), Director-General of Mazandaran Province Customs Office, Ali Yousefimanesh said, Trend reports citing Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

According to him, these goods were exported to 33 countries, including Iraq, Russia, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, the UAE, Turkmenistan, and India.

The director-general added that the exported goods were mainly dairy products, ice cream, cement, rubber, and kiwi fruit.

Yousefimanesh noted that moreover, 2.01 million tons of various goods worth $67 million were imported through the customs of Mazandaran Province within 9 months.

“The imported goods were mainly animal feed, cooking oil, wheat, and wood materials,” he said.

The director-general stressed that the goods were imported from 27 countries, including Russia, the UAE, Turkey, Germany, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and Canada.

“In addition, 27,500 tons of goods worth $33.3 million were transited through the customs of Mazandaran Province over the reporting period,” he added.

Yousefimanesh also said that the revenues of the Mazandaran Province’s customs amounted to 2.09 trillion rials (about $49.8 million) in 9 months.
