Kazakhstan's Altynalmas gold processing company introduces digital technologies to boost output

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Jan. 26

By Nargiz Sadikhova - Trend:

Kazakhstan’s Altynalmas AK gold processing company is planning to increase the volume of ore processing by increasing the total area of the mining allotment, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development.

In June 2020, the Altynalmas AK has commissioned the Dolinnoye CIP Plant. A total of 46 billion tenge ($109.5 million) were commissioned into the project, and 300 jobs were created. The gold ore processing increased from 2.5 million to 5 million tons a year, whereas manufacturing of gold bars increased to 5 tons a year.

A modern technology of gold processing has been introduced at the company’s gold recovery plant, which will allow to bring a large volume of poor gold-bearing ore of the deposit into industrial circulation and increase the efficiency of using the country's natural resources.

In addition, Altynalmas AK launched a new dispatch center at the Dolinnoye mine, built as part of the Digital Mine project. The project is being implemented jointly with the Russian company Tsifra and its subsidiary Vist Group, and is switching to a fully digital format for working with data using an electronic digital signature. This is the first such project at an industrial enterprise in the CIS countries.

This system makes it possible to control all subsystems of the dispatch center. The company is implementing 12 subprojects with the aim of creating an integrated information environment in which key business processes and the entire production process can be monitored in real time.
