Russia’s Tatarstan plans further delivery of motor vehicles to Turkmenistan

Russia’s Tatarstan plans to further supply vehicles to Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Kazan.

It is planned to further supply 463 units of Kamaz vehicles, 2 helicopters of the Kazan Helicopter Plant Mi-17-1V and Ansat to Turkmenistan in 2021.

In addition, it is planned to continue cooperation through "Zelenodolsk Plant named after A.M. Gorky" on shipbuilding issues.

The Turkmen Trading House in Kazan (Tatarstan) and the Tatneft Trading and Technical House in Ashgabat (Turkmenistan) will also open.

In 2020, 852 units of Kamaz, the second marine vessel of the A145E project, medicines and medical supplies worth more than $8 million were delivered from Tatarstan to Turkmenistan, and an additional agreement was signed with Tatneft company to carry out service work to increase the flow rate of oil wells in the oil fields of NGDU Goturdepenebit.

According to the results of 2020, the trade turnover of Turkmenistan with Tatarstan increased by 5 times.

Meanwhile, Turkmenistan and Russia's Tatarstan have discussed the construction of various types of ships aimed at the development of a merchant fleet on April 6, 2020.

In general, Turkmenistan devotes attention to cooperation with Russia’s regions and cities, in particular with Tatarstan, Astrakhan, and Saint Petersburg.

Foreign trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan (Russia) amounted to $33.2 million in 1Q2020.

Tatarstan exported rubber products and land transport to Turkmenistan for the total amount of $26.5 million in the reporting period.

In turn, during the reporting period, Tatarstan imported plastic products for the total amount of $6.7 million from Turkmenistan.
