Fidelity Investments Inc acquires shares of Bank of Georgia

American Fidelity Investments Inc, which is one of the world's largest asset management funds, in 2020 acquired 6.15 percent of the shares of Bank of Georgia PLC, the parent company of Bank of Georgia, Trend reports via Georgian media.

Fidelity Investments first appeared in the ranks of the bank's shareholders in the second quarter of 2020, which owned 4.14 percent of the bank listed on the London Stock Exchange, at the end of the third quarter its share increased to 4.66 percent, and by December 31, 2020 it owned 6.15 percent of the bank's shares.

The bank has a total market capitalization of 7.467 million pounds.

According to the Bank of Georgia report, as of December 31, 2020, the list of their largest shareholders was as follows:

JSC Capital of Georgia - 19.90 percent;
Fidelity Investments - 6.15 percent;
Harding Loevner LP - 4.50 percent;
Van Eck Associates Corporation 3.26 percent;
Dimensional Fund Advisors (DFA) LP - 3.04 percent;
Prosperity Capital Management Ltd - 2.80 percent;
Norges Bank Investment Management - 2.56 percent;
Standard Life Investments - 2.14 percent;
Vanguard Group Inc - 2.09 percent;
Firebird Management LLC - 1.83 percent.
