The efforts are being made to sell more goods on the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), Executive Director of the Iran Mercantile Exchange Hamid Soltanifar said, Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.

Soltanifar noted that about 32 million tons of goods have been sold at the IME since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020). This shows that there is great interest in the Iran Mercantile Exchange.

The director added that more than 40 percent of sales at the IME are based on the 'Standard Parallel Salaf' contract. So, 1.2 quadrillion rials (about $28.5 billion) worth of sales out of about 3 quadrillion rials (about $71.4 billion) were provided by this way.

As reported, a total of 32.3 million tons of goods worth about 2.98 quadrillion rials (about $70.9 billion) have been sold on the Iran Mercantile Exchange since the beginning of the current Iranian year.
