Iranian government measures for the development of the steel supply chain have prevented the sale of raw material and brought revenues, said the Iranian President.
"The steel supply chain has increased twice more than past 40 years during past eight years. There have been considering actions made during past eight years in producing steel ingot, concentrate and iron ore pellets and various products that have prevented the sale of raw material," said Hassan Rouhani, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"The value of mine and mineral industries have increased and generated good foreign currency revenues during sanctions in the past three years. The following pelletizing factory is valued at $2.1 billion and considers a very modern plan for pelletizing that has completed and being operated," he said during the inauguration ceremony of a pelletizing factory in Yazd Province on Monday.
The factory is one of the biggest pelletizing factories in the country and has a production capacity of 5 million tons of iron ore pellets and can be part of the steel supply chain.
