Azerbaijan’s Azeraluminium LLC, one of the largest export-oriented enterprises in the country exported 96 percent of its products to foreign markets in 2020, a source in the company told Trend.
According to the source, last year the enterprise produced about 53,000 tons of primary aluminum with a design annual capacity of 50,000 tons.
"Most of the company's products are exported to the US, Canada, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, and Switzerland," added the source.
The main end-products of the company are aluminum ingots, rolls of hot and cold rolled products, which can be sold in the form of rolls, sheets, or strips of various sizes at the request of the client.
Azeraluminium LLC is a leading company in the field of non-ferrous metallurgy of Azerbaijan and the only producer of primary aluminum in the South Caucasus. The foundation of the Ganja aluminum complex was laid in March 2008 by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
The complex began the first phase of primary aluminum production with an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons in 2011-2012. The testing process of the manufactured roll products started in May 2013. The opening ceremony of the complex was held on January 21, 2014, with the participation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
