Iran launches Comprehensive Trade System to regulate markets

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March. 15

Trend:

Iranian Minister of Industry, Mines, and Trade said the Comprehensive Trade System is an effective system to regulate the market.

The meeting of the market regulation working group chaired by First Vice President, Ishaq Jahangiri, and attended by Ministers of Industry and Agriculture Jihad, Alireza Razm Hosseini, and Kazem Khavazi held today on Saturday, Trend reports citing IRNA.

Alireza Razm Hosseini said the distribution of agricultural products such as apple and orange is in a good condition in terms of quality and price due to the great coordination between the relevant agencies.

"According to the law, the Ministry of Industry is only responsible for pricing the subsidized goods," he said.

He went on to say that the necessary measures were taken to regulate the Nowruz fruit market. "Over 40,000 tons of fruit were purchased to distribute into the market in the last days of the Iranian year (ends on March 21). The distribution of purchased fruits will begin from March 16th."

"It seems that the use of the Comprehensive Trade System can be very helpful in calming the market. This system is 70 percent efficient.," he added, noting that the egg market stabilized.

In another part of his speech, Razm Hosseini pointed to a 25 percent increase in edible oil distribution in the past two months.
