Legal entities and individuals in Azerbaijan conducted trade operations with partners from 122 countries in January 2021, Trend reports citing a report of the State Statistical Committee.
During the specified month, Azerbaijan exported products to 61 countries and imported - from 117 countries, said the report.
“Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover in January 2021 amounted to $2.24 billion (taking into account the statistical value of crude oil and natural gas exported by customs authorities, but customs clearance of which was not fully completed), including exports - $1.4 billion, imports - $787.5 million. Consequently, the trade surplus amounted to about $667.4 million,” the committee report reads.
At the same time, foreign trade turnover in real prices decreased by 5.7 percent year on year, in real terms - by 10 percent, imports - by 12.3 percent, exports - by 9.1 percent, the report added.
During the month, non-oil products worth $146 million were exported from Azerbaijan, which in actual prices is 3.8 percent more compared to the same month of 2019, and in real terms - less by 12.8 percent.
