Review of Georgia's exports to China

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 26

Georgia exported 26,933 tons of copper to China worth $42.5 million from January through February 2021, Trend reports referring to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).

In the reporting period, Georgia exported 287.9 tons of wine of fresh grapes worth $1.17 million to China.

Meanwhile, 3 tons of medical equipment and appliances worth $1.7 million were exported from Georgia to China.

During the reporting period, Georgia exported 325.7 tons of ginger, saffron, turmeric, thyme, bay leaves, curry and other spices in the amount of $706,000 to China.

Georgia also exported 1,218 tons of precious metals and concentrates worth $5.2 million to China.

During the reporting period, Georgia exported products worth $53.8 million to the Chinese market, which is 10.9 percent of total exports from Georgia.

Meanwhile, China's exports to Georgia amounted to $139.8 million, which comprises 12.1 percent of total imports to Georgia.
