Kazakhstan reports increase in manufacturing of passenger cars

A total of 11,573 passenger cars were manufactured in Kazakhstan from January through February 2021, which is 3.9 percent more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

In turn, passenger car production in February alone amounted to 6,180 cars, which also is 4 percent more than in Feb. 2020.

The number of cargo vehicles manufactured in Kazakhstan during the reporting period stood at 1,025 vehicles (662 in Feb.), of specialized vehicles at 19 units (11 in Feb.).

Furthermore, the number of trailers, semi-trailers, and containers manufactured in Feb. 2021 amounted to 67, which is 21.8 percent more than during Feb. 2020. The number of trailers, semi-trailers, and containers manufactured over the reporting period stood at 134 vehicles, which is 23 percent less than during the same period of last year.

In turn, spare parts for vehicle output amounted to 9,785 during two months and 5,268 in Feb. 2021, which is 17.4 percent less and 21 percent more respectively than during the same period of 2020.

Five diesel locomotives were also manufactured in Kazakhstan over two months of 2020 (1 in Feb.), and 12 cargo wagons (none in Feb.).
