Russia’s Tatneft to start rubber manufacturing in Kazakhstan

BAKU, Azerbaijan. Apr. 5

By Nargiz Sadikhova - Trend:

Kazakhstan’s KazMunayGas and Russia’s Tatneft signed a memorandum on intention for construction of new plants in Kazakhstan, Trend reports citing the press office of the government of Russia’s Tatarstan.

The memorandum was signed within the framework of the working visit of Tatarstan’s delegation to Kazakhstan’s city of Saran where the construction of a tire manufacturing plant of Tatneft and Kazakhstan’s Allure was launched.

Thus, during the visit the Tatneft company signed an agreement with KazMunayGas for construction of a rubber manufacturing plant. The plant’s capacity is to be 186,000 tons of butadiene rubbers and 170,000 tons of isobutene a year. The plant is to be commissioned in 2025.

It was noted during the signing that Kazakhstan has the most valuable raw materials for the production of rubber, and therefore it is necessary to conduct active joint work in this direction.

In addition, a memorandum of intent was also signed on the construction of a bitumen production plant.
