Kazakhstan sees increase in housing purchases

The number of purchases and sales of real estate in Kazakhstan amounted to 115,351 transactions over the period from January through March 2021, which is 74.2 percent more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The total number of buy/sell transactions implemented in Kazakhstan in Mar. 2021 amounted to 52,673 transactions which are 28.2 percent more than in Feb. 2021 and 2.4 times more than during the same month of 2020.

The largest number of transactions was observed in the Mangystau region where it amounted to 9,852 transactions, which is 48.4 percent more than in Feb. 2021 and 8.9 times than in Mar. 2020.

Mangystau is followed by Nur-Sultan city with 6,524 transactions, which is 0.8 percent less than during Feb. 2021 and 2.6 times more than in Mar. 2020.

Almaty city takes third place (6,481 transactions in Mar. 2021), showing a 16.4-percent increase compared to Feb. 2021 and 2-times more compared to Mar. 2020.

The least number of purchases and sale of housing transactions during Mar. 2021 was observed in the North Kazakhstan region (687 transactions, increase by 31.4 percent compared to Feb. 2021 and decrease by 6.7 percent compared to Mar. 2020).
