Buy/sell operations at Iran Mercantile Exchange disclosed

A total of 745,000 tons of goods worth more than 97.2 trillion rials (about $2.31 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the last Iranian week (April 3 through April 8, 2021), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.

This is an increase of 109 percent in terms of value and 102 percent in terms of volume compared to the preceding week (March 27 through April 1, 2021).

So, 367,000 tons of goods worth more than 46 trillion rials (about $1.09 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding week.

According to the report, about 335,000 tons of goods worth about 50.3 trillion rials (about $1.2 billion) were sold in the industrial and mining products section of IME last week.

"So, 329,000 tons of steel, 4,680 tons of copper, 685 tons of aluminum, 12 tons of molybdenum concentrate and 100 tons of lead were sold in this section," the report said.

In addition, more than 409,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth about 46.4 trillion rials (about $1.1 billion) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week, the report said.

According to the report, 217,000 tons of vacuum bottom, 68,100 tons of bitumen, 57,500 tons of polymeric substances, 26,400 tons of chemicals, 33,200 tons of lube cut, 3,290 tons of base oil, 50 tons of argon, 250 tons of facades, 1,270 tons of sulfur were sold in this section.

Furthermore, 1,470 tons of various products worth 255 billion rials (about $6.07 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.

At the same time, 2.5 tons of saffron worth 247 billion rials (about $5.88 million) were sold in the agricultural section of the Iran Mercantile Exchange.
