TEHRAN, Iran, April. 12

Trend:

The managing director of Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Co. (PGPIC) announced that in last Iranian year (ended on March 21) the export of petrochemical products increased by 10 percent

“The obstacles will be reduced by lifting of the sanctions, but does not mean that we should abandon domestic reliance and become dependent on foreigners again,” the managing director of Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Co. (PGPIC) Jafar Rabiee said, Trend reports citing ILNA.

“The lifting of sanctions will facilitate the foreign investment and the export process. Fortunately, in terms of manufacturing equipment, we have reached a self-reliance point,” he added.

Referring to the rapid development of the petrochemical industry in the last four decades, he said that 98 percent of the total petrochemical industry has been established after Islamic revolution.

Regarding the construction of the petrochemical complex in other countries, he noted that if the issue of sanctions is resolved and relations are established with large international companies, Iran will also invest in large international projects in other countries.
